If the mark lines up (and is correct), you'll be at TDC. You may be at
top of the compression stroke (#1 firing) or the top of the exhaust
stroke (#4 firing). But you're at TDC.

Zero degree is the 'last' hash mark (in relation to the rotation of
the crankshaft). Each mark is 5 degrees. Make it easier on yourself,
rub a piece of chalk on the marks to make them stand out.

Remember to plug the vacuum advance line, and the idle speed
must be correct during dynamic adjustment (if idle is too high
some mechanical advance starts to be applied).
