[Roadsters] cleaning carbs

I have used chain saw fuel line for the flex hose at the bottom of the SU
nozzle. It is available from any small engine service or mower shop. It
was yellow and worked perfectly.

The black rubber line should be flexible and clear and if it is not it
should be replaced.? I think regular auto parts rubber tubing will work
although the vendors have a more flexible tube for that application.

I had a set of carbs that had set long enough that there was a gooey
varnish deposit partially blocking the little fuel line between the
float bowl and carb body. Drove me nuts trying to track down the
intermittent fuel starvation. You can take them off and run a
solvent soaked q-tip through. If they crack during this operation,
they needed replacement anyway :^)
