Spell check is good; including a relevant Subject line is even better.
Recoring a radiator runs around $250-$300 these days. Whether that's "not
very expensive" depends on your tax bracket, I guess. <g> That said, I
thought 190-195 degrees F was normal.

I have a 1966 1600 since 1966.? It always ran hot until I replaced the two
core radiator with a three core (layer?)?radiator 20 years ago.? Since then
it's been fine.? I recall it was not very expensive to do this.

I have a 1966 1600.Have had some temp problems with it and I believe I have
them mostly resolved. After replacing the thermostat, and having the
radiator taken care of, it still seems to be running a bit warm, around 190
in Riverside heat of 85-95F.
