As always I need articles. So I'll start this email with a plea for
articles for the
magazine. I'm just about out of articles. So if you want to keep the magazine
going, how about writing an article or more.

I've been the Editor/Publisher of The Brickline for about 17 years
now and it's
been a blast. Unfortunately, I'm not getting any younger. So it's
time to start
looking for a change in this position.

I'm looking for an assistant or someone to traine to take over
editing/publishing
The Brickline. I'd like to find someone now we can have a smooth transfer of
knowledge as to what has to be done, and how; instead of it just being dropped
in someones lap if something happened to me.

You should be computer literate, be able to handle learning some new
software. I use a word processor and database program (MS Works), a desktop
publishing program (Creative Suites InDesign 3) and for photoediting I use is
Photoshop 6. In addition I use IrfanView to scan pictures for the
magazine. We
don't expect you to have all this software. The club will help you
acquire the all
the tools you'll need to do the job.

If you are interested please drop me an email: jblair1948 at cox.net or
call: (757) 495-8229 and we can discuss it.

John
