Here is where John Lodge talks about not being able to flatten a warped
headlight cover.

 The same applies to the hatch. If you have an original acrylic hatch warping
is common, the fiberglas replacements that the vendors sell are less prone to
warping. I put a replacement hatch in about 25 years ago and it still looks
good.

The upper corners of the hatch have lost their contour and are proud of the
surrounding panel. Has anyone else had this problem? If so is there a fix
other
than a new hatch?
