[Bricklin] looking at paint

 When my son painted his Merkur last year his instructor said he only needed to add a flex agent to the clear coat.? Then only on the rubber/plastic pieces.? I was told the same thing when I painted my Nova.??? What they said was that the urethane base colors are flexible enough on their own. ? Now lacquer paint would be a different story.
