[Bricklin] Metal plates the in the doors that hold the door blots

Merv,

I assume that you are talking about the mount that the list ram 
mounts to,  right?

If so are the skins on your doors?

The only thing I can think of is do something like what is done to 
the plates that
the hinges mount to, weld nuts to the plate.

I don't know if you can get the plates out of the roof without 
cutting either the top
or bottom of the door open and then rewelding it closed.
