Two weeks from today!
Saturday August 13th will be the day for the Trappers Loop Drive.
Pencil it in on your calendar for Saturday, August 13th (that's 2 weeks
from today)
We will plan to meet at the east end of the Hogle Zoo parking lot. That's
800 South (which becomes Sunnyside Ave that far east) and 2600 East in Salt
Lake City for those who may be unfamiliar. Plan to meet up at 9:00 for a
9:30ish departure.
This run is traditionally one of our most popular and I would expect a good
turnout. We will head up Emigration Canyon to SR65 and SR66 down into the
Morgan Valley where we'll cool our heels, throats and our cars at the
Phillips/7-11 in Morgan before we proceed on W Old Highway Rd. down to
Mountain Green and take the right on 167 (Trappers Loop Rd.) over the top.
We'll then turn right at SR39 at Pine View Reservoir and head into
Huntsville.
Something a little different for lunch plans this year.
In the past we've eaten at both I.D.K Barbeque and The Shooting Star saloon
in Huntsville at various times but we've never had the choice of either at
the same time. So this year, I've made arrangements at *both* locations, so
you can choose which of the 2 you'd like. They are just around the corner
from each other and their menus are here: https://idkbarbecue.com/ and
here:
https://www.restaurantji.com/ut/huntsville/shooting-star-saloon-/

I think that by breaking up into the 2 locations, wait times for food will
be lessened for everyone and if you don't want to eat at either one, bring
your own lunch and enjoy the grassy park area behind the area.
Arrangements have been made with them and the are expecting us.
IDK was especially excited to be having us back and remembered us well.

>From there, you're on your own as to choosing your route home, there are
various.
I look forward to seeing you there and let me know if you have questions.
Clayton
