Indeed.  He was the only person who ever fired me, about 4, 5, maybe 6 
times. We were sort of like the odd couple, he'd get fed up with my 
scatterbrained attitude and boot me out the door.  A couple of days, a 
week or two later, he'd call and say something like "Mark, I've got a 
car with a carb problem, can you come down and take a look?"
