While I regret that I will not be along on your trip, I must second Mr.
Meldrun`s suggestion to return via Rte. 12.  It is one of the most
spectacular roads in the country.  Among other views the vistas from the
many turnouts on Boulder Mtn. rival any on the planet.  They are superior
to The Grand Canyon in distance, beauty, and variety.  If the weather is
clear you will not be disappointed.  The descent to the Escalante River and
the pass over the Hogsback are equally worthwhile.  The Calf Creek Falls,
upper and lower, require time and stamina to hike, but are wonderful to
behold.  There are almost hidden Anasazi storage niches and dwellings in
the holes in the cliffs that form Calf Creek Canyon.

These are all a little less known of the fabulous and otherworldly scenic
places of Southern Utah.  Bruce Oblad
