I used a firm rap on a cold chisel to mark across the hub and wheel at the same time. No problem getting the wheel back on in exactly the same position every time. Duff

Rob,
I have had great luck with working with motorcycle shops. They usually
have all the right size cones and adapters for the wire motorcycle wheels and
they work perfect on our LBC wires.
Cheers,

If
you balance the wheel on the car and remove the wheel for any reason you
have to put it back exactly in the same position in relation to the hub.
This isn’t such a problem when there are lugs to make note of
but with a center-lock wheel it is very difficult to relocate the wheel back
onto the exact same position on the splines. Find someone with
on old type bubble balancer that uses a cone type thing for centering.
You can still buy one of those from Harbor Freight I think. That was
the way we always did it in the old days and never had any problems with
balance.

Balancing
It is
best if you can find a guy that spin balances on the car instead of
bubble or spin balances off the car. I know Russ Alignment does but
they are not near you. They are at 1915 South Redwood, 973-7439 most
in the Healey Club swear by their alignment and they are
reasonable.

Good
Day,
Can
any of you recommend an establishment that can balance wire
wheels in the vicinity of the Holladay/Millcreek
area.
My
local tire store doesn't have the proper
equipment.
Thanks
for your help and time,
Rob
