Best I can tell, you are not alone.  Here is a link to a discussion on MG Experience on availability of that piece.  A couple of folks in the thread are offering up ones for sale.  Prices seem a bit high.

Not sure if any of you can help me out, I am looking for the top grill trim piece for a 70-72 mgb. It's the part the attaches to the hood/bonnet for the fishmouth grill.
