Again ?No one? has stepped up to organize it. We will meet at 9:30 AM or sooner if you come earlier, on the east side of the South Towne Mall (take the 106th South exit off I-15 going east, enter the mall parking lot off 106th South or from State Street about a block north of 106th South). We will plan on departing at 10:00 AM. For those who are coming from down south, we will be stopping at about 10:45 AM for bio-reconditioning at the C-Store and Chevron Station in Alpine just before SR 92 enters Alpine Canyon. Bring your own lunch or find food in Heber. There is no raffle this year and no one is preparing food. ?No one? is reasonably certain that we do have the Heber City Park reserved, so we will plan to meet up there. If there are cones out in the park, then we?ll be able to park on the lawn ? enter behind the backstop and keep to the cone-lined lane. IF THERE ARE NO CONES, DO NOT DRIVE ON THE GRASS and just park along side the park. Might be wise to toss a chair or picnic blanket in the car just in case. ?No one? I've sorted it out and am forwarding it on here.] Have I mentioned that the BMCU was participating in the Annual Miner's Day Parade in Park City on Monday, September 5? Those that remembered to show up were: Duff Lawson, Chris Dunbeck, Darin Graber, Jon Hermance, Andrew Fink, Wes Himle, Rubin Ventress, Ron Christensen, Dave Christensen, Kent Jensen, Roger Dotson, Jamie Monroe, Rob Foye, John Progress, Barb Progress, Daniel Bair, Steven Nelson, Richard and Emele Wayland, Kevin and Jan Cowan, Kathy and Floyd Inman, Jim and Susan Revel, Pugs and Diane, Pete Belford, Dave and Carol Mark (good to see the two of you out), and Gary Lindstrom. (If I misspelled your name it is because you can't write or you are a doctor writing a prescription). Anyway, a great turnout at the top of Main Street leaving just enough room for the fire trucks to get past. The parade route was downhill the entire trip. In fact, the Queen didn't fire the engine until we entered the park where the Rotary Club had reserved our parking place. (Really convenient -- a big kudo goes out to the Park City Rotary for staying with tradition.) Refreshments were available to those that choose to stay around the Park for the festivities. Hopefully some stayed for the drilling and mucking contest. Thank you to all those that made the trip, For those that missed the event, let me just remind you that there are but 364 days before we do it again! And you all know that I will be reminding you well in advance!!! Please note that this is one of our few Sunday drives, to give some of our members who work on Saturday a chance to join in. We are keeping October 9 for a rain date just in case. Keep an eye on the website and the BMCU email list for confirmation. We?ll meet at Hogle Zoo (end of the parking lot nearest the mouth of Emigration Canyon) at 9:00 am for a 9:30 departure through Emigration Canyon, proceeding East on I-80 we will have a secondary rendezvous at Silver Creek Junction exit 146 (after you exit go LEFT over I-80) at a Sinclair Gas station around 10:00, leaving at 10:30. I'd like at least the shop name, phone number/rough location, and the services they provide (ie mechanical, bodywork, etc). We've had some folks asking recently (including me) and gathering this list up could be a better way to address that need.
