[Bmcu] June 11th, 37th Annual Scottish Days/Highland Games

Ronny, by the time the TR7 came out British Leyland had become less a car
company than a "job" company.
It was totally politicized and served to keep the Labour government in power by
buying union votes.
Absolutely nothing could have saved it. If the above sounds sort of familiar
think Detroit.
Cheers,
Ray Astin

If British Leyland had put their efforts into a car like this concept instead of
the stupid TR7 they might be around today!

Had they designed the car with a proper laid back windshield it could have had
two longer wipers and it would have looked much better too. Attached is a
concept I designed back in the 70s to make the B a modern car.

Hi Brownie,
Seems I remember reading back then it had to do with sq. ins. per cent of
wiindshield coverage of the wipers to windshield surface or some fool thing like
that. From Road & Track of the time.

OK, I am not sure that I need another colector car but I bought a 1976 MGB
yesterday. It is a fixer-upper but then as such the price is always better.
Big question for you all? Why does it have three windshield wipers?

June 11th, this Saturday, from 8 A.M. to 10 P.M. will be the 37th Annual
Scottish Days/Highland Games at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi. This is a BMCU
sponsored event but there is no contact person because it is just a "show up and
park your car" kind of day.
We have been directed to enter at the South West gate and park on the grass near
there. For those of you who have gone to this event before, it is the same as
in past years. For those of you for whom this is a new event, you really can't
go wrong, there are plenty of volunteers around to direct you.
We seem to be finally getting to some better weather! Temperatures are supposed
to be in the mid 70's and partly cloudy, but no rain in the forecast. Should be
a great day to be out with our LBC's. Let's make it a great turnout.
