Message-ID: <174D3140-CC0A-40EF-969C-66634CB5639A@drooartz.com> On Friday evening August 12 at 7:00 PM we need BMCU, Bike Club, BAHC (Austin Healy), WMJR (Jaguar) and SLCN (Salt Lake Community Network) volunteers with hammers, staplers, and stiff floor brooms to help set up the venue at Liberty Park (northeast quadrant). On Saturday morning August 13 some volunteers with set-up equipment would be appreciated at 7:00 AM to clean up any damage to the venue that occurred during the night. On Saturday morning August 13 at 8:00 AM many more volunteers are needed to help with registration and placing the cars and bikes on the field. Most cars should be in place on the field by 9:00 AM. The Chow Truck should be on site by 10:00 AM. Volunteers to help with BFD teardown would also be greatly appreciated beginning around 2:30 PM and usually ending by 3:30 PM. I was well prepared for them (just in case) even with a copy of the legislation in hand. I had an inspection certificate for my 76 MG and an inspection and emissions for my 1980 Shay (Model A Ford Replica). I was the first customer of the day and all they looked at was my registration papers (did not even tell them that I had the other paperwork.) It only took a few minutes including the transfer of title for the Shay. The team in the Brigham office were right on top of it. -----Original Message----- From: bmcu-bounces at autox.team.net [mailto:bmcu-bounces at autox.team.net] On Behalf Of pugsracer at comcast.net Sent: Wednesday, August 10, 2011 8:00 AM To: Hazel McKenna; bmcu-bounces at autox.team.net; sirraymond Cc: Bmcu at autox.team.net Subject: Re: [Bmcu] Registering Yea just did another car this morning. 64 triumph. Heck, I even got a few laps on the autocross course in the B (and did notice that *none* of the record number of Sunbeam's made it out there... :) ) I've got some pictures up on our site now: http://bmcu.drooartz.com/photos/ Please send me any pictures or videos you took at the show, and I'll add them up to the site. There's also a great photo gallery up on the FOX 13 website, courtesy of David Wells. http://www.fox13now.com/news/kstu-pictures-british-motor-club-of-utah-field-day-081311-20110813,0,5648183.photogallery So if you missed the show this year, you really need to try and get out next year. We hope to know the date for next year's show shortly, so you'll have no excuse this time. -Drew Frink BMCU webmechanic From hazel.mckenna at gmail.com Sun Aug 14 11:31:54 2011 From: hazel.mckenna at gmail.com (Hazel McKenna) Date: Sun, 14 Aug 2011 11:31:54 -0600 Subject: [Bmcu] Land Rover 4 sale In-Reply-To: <33D0A970-41D1-4940-A7D2-8274892DCF23@drooartz.com> References: <3d7e14f0-dd4d-4738-b8ac-d66343b157c3@zms03.zcs> <33D0A970-41D1-4940-A7D2-8274892DCF23@drooartz.com> Message-ID: <87263C56-6605-43E6-840A-A48E25F03DE5@gmail.com> I have a 1967 Series 2A Land Rover for sale. When we started this BMCU group back in the 80's none of us could have imagined that it would not only still be operating in 2011.....but that such a wonderfully supported event could happen. We used to struggle mightily to find just one Sunbeam product to turn up at an event. It was terrific to see all those Alpines/Tigers in one place!!! Also, it was fun to see my old XK-120 so lovingly restored by Gary. Congratulations to all at BMCU.....and I hope to see some of you later this week at the VTR National meet in Breckenridge, CO. Also includes the original 948 engine and transmission as well as a spare rib-case and a Datsun 5-speed for a conversion (but not the adaptor). Comes with a variety of spare parts too.
