FYI
I received the following message from the BAHC. If you were planing to go
with them on their Zion Tour on May 21-23, the details are provided. Also,
please note that the Ferrari Challenge Event on April 10 fell through so cross
that off the schedule.

Subject: BAHC Cedar City & Zion Trip 5/21,22 & 23
Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2010 05:35:16 +0000
I have made reservations at the Abbey Inn for 10 rooms that they are holding
at a rate of $67.00 for 5/21. In case you care to share a room with another
couple the rooms have two queen or double beds and the rate includes up to 4
in a room.
I will be making reservations for dinner at Milt's Stage Stop steakhouse up
the canyon unless I hear that a number of you think Rusty's is a better once I
have an idea how many will be coming. Both are owned by the same people but I
have heard better things about Milt's. Please email me if you plan to go.
None of the Shakespeare Festival will be going on but there are movie
theaters, bowling and the Toad Nightclub for things to do. Depending on when
we leave SLC we will probably have lunch on our own in town somewhere.
Since I have the rooms held under the Bonneville Austin Healey Club and one
guaranteed room for us please call and reserve and guarantee your own room and
use the club's name as they will have that at the desk. If we need more than
10 rooms they can accommodate us. Call 1-800-325-5411.
We will drive to Zion the next morning and I understand the club has stayed at
the Driftwood in Springdale before and I have several times too. I will be
talking to the Manager in the morning for a group rate but the rates there
will be over $100. There are some less expensive places but I don't feel
their quality is up to the Driftwood's which is quite good for the price. If
anyone has anything else in mind please advise as I will be making some
reservations there in the morning.
Also I understand someone is going to be hosting and leading a trip to Hill
AFB on 4/10 since the Ferrari thing didn't work out. I won't be able to
attend but possibly some members might care to join with Susan and me on April
11, when we will be driving to Page, AZ to spend the night and see the
Copperstate 1000 Rally roll in for lunch at the Antelope Point Marina between
11AM and 1PM. My friend Bob Griffin and his wife are driving his 100S in it.
We will drive back after lunch on Monday the 12th at least part or all of the
way. I don't know which car I will be driving it will be dependent on the
weather and how road worthy the older ones will be by then.
If you have any questions please call me 435-640-3347
Jim
