She said that the car runs and her husband, Ron White, drove it before parking it in the garage. She has the title and he had ordered extra parts which she will find. I was wrong on the engine size, I think that the 1000 on the side is for the engine size. The car will be availible to see on Sat or Sun. The funeral, for her husband is on Friday. She's asking $4,000 for the car, which may not be a steel but a very good price. Ron White was a very good friend of JC Hacket and has a lot of classic cars. If you are interested E-mail me. Her husband just died and she needs the money for expenses. The body looks good with minor rust, it was last licenced in 96 and the odometer is 20,187 miles. The bumpers look streight and the wood needs a lot of help or replaced. I think that it has a 1275cc engine, which looked like everything was their. I didn't ask her if it runs but I'm guessing it would with a little prep. This would be a great car to restore or just fix any problems and get it painted. The glass looks good except for a broken back window, which is flat and could be easly replaced. If anyone is interested E-mail me at - - beachbumbarry at msn.com The car is in WVC about 5200W and 3900So. _______________________________________________ Bmcu mailing list Bmcu at autox.team.net http://autox.team.net/mailman/listinfo/bmcu From KingFirm at aol.com Tue Dec 1 15:32:34 2009 From: KingFirm at aol.com (KingFirm at aol.com) Date: Tue, 1 Dec 2009 17:32:34 EST Subject: [Bmcu] More Info. 60 Morris Minor woody for Sale Message-ID: My e-mail is now _fking at kingfirm.com_ (mailto:fking at kingfirm.com) Thanks, Felshaw King From layne.t at hotmail.com Thu Dec 3 16:20:59 2009 From: layne.t at hotmail.com (layne taggart) Date: Thu, 3 Dec 2009 16:20:59 -0700 Subject: [Bmcu] Fw: PLEASE READ Message-ID: ----- Original Message ----- From: Lori Wootton To: receptionist ; Holly Damron ; layne taggart ; lapree12 at comcast.net ; Daniel Thomas ; dennisherring at comcast.net ; K.d.Bowden at att.net ; Kathie Carpenter ; Kelli Bang ; pgviking7 at hotmail.com ; cjensen73059 at msn.com ; Cyndie Neel ; cgharwood at comcast.net ; Carol Ciammaichella ; Colleen Murdoch ; Pat Steele ; machavens at msn.com ; mjlaycoc at aol.com ; Carla Alldredge ; Charlene Kaneshiro ; Chris Price ; Brad Strong ; Brandon Hunsaker ; Debi Evans ; LeAnn Taylor ; volkswagonmom at hotmail.com ; Vicki Lee Sent: Thursday, December 03, 2009 8:07 AM Subject: FW: PLEASE READ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- From: Mike Burch [mailto:mikesplayin at yahoo.com] Sent: Wednesday, December 02, 2009 4:39 PM To: annieandmakae Subject: Fwd: PLEASE READ New Christmas Poem TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, HE LIVED ALL ALONE, IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE. I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE, AND TO SEE JUST WHO IN THIS HOME DID LIVE. I LOOKED ALL ABOUT, A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE, NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS, NOT EVEN A TREE. NO STOCKING BY MANTLE, JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND, ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES OF FAR DISTANT LANDS. WITH MEDALS AND BADGES, AWARDS OF ALL KINDS, A SOBER THOUGHT CAME THROUGH MY MIND. FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT, IT WAS DARK AND DREARY, I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER, ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY. THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING, SILENT, ALONE, CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME. THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE, THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER, NOT HOW I PICTURED A UNITED STATES SOLDIER. WAS THIS THE HERO OF WHOM I'D JUST READ? CURLED UP ON A PONCHO, THE FLOOR FOR A BED? I REALIZED THE FAMILIES THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT, OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT. SOON ROUND THE WORLD, THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY, AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY. THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR, BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS, LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE. I COULDN'T HELP WONDER HOW MANY LAY ALONE, ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME. THE VERY THOUGHT BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE, I DROPPED TO MY KNEES AND STARTED TO CRY. THE SOLDIER AWAKENED AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE, 'SANTA DON'T CRY, THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE; I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM, I DON'T ASK FOR MORE, MY LIFE IS MY GOD, MY! COUNTRY, MY CORPS.' THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP, I COULDN'T CONTROL IT, I CONTINUED TO WEEP. I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS, SO SILENT AND STILL AND WE BOTH SHIVERED FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL. I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT, THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR SO WILLING TO FIGHT. THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER, WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE, WHISPERED, 'CARRY ON SANTA, IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE.' ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH, AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT. 'MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND,! AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT.' This poem was written by a Marine. The following is his request. I think it is reasonable.....PLEASE. Would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many people as you can? Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due to our U.S. Service men, Women, and Canadian Forces for our being able to celebrate these festivities. Let's try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves for us. Please, do your small part to plant this small seed!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Windows 7: Unclutter your desktop. Learn more. Gee, I don't work there anymore so I can't say "we" but he knows quite a bit about the cars. Besides, I was the Triumph guy. He doesn't do major restorations but it would be worth contacting him about what services you need. http://baileysautomotive.com has the necessary details. mjb.
