I've been getting numerous emails stating that the Hotel is filling up fast. I checked out the Hotel prices and they are not a Motel 6. This is apparently a very nice Hotel. If someone is planning on attending the entire event plan on spending $900+ for your room alone. What is needed now is to figure out just how much time we want to spend there. The adds say the event is Sept. 30th through Oct. 4th. Do we want to be there Wednesday till Sunday? How much time do we want to take to get there and return? Everyone has a different schedule to play with so I'd like to come up with a happy medium. Let me know your thoughts if you are planning to come along. Thanks, Mitch D. For two people that makes the effective room rate about $105/night. See you in SLO! We hope you've had a great Holiday season! It's time to start putting on our Lucas Thinking caps and come up with a few ideas/suggestions. 1. First order of business is the January Tech Session. Does anyone have a business or talent that they would like to have us come visit? One member has also suggested just a lunch get together, we have done both in the past (oogle at cool stuff, then eat!). Please let us know if you have any ideas ASAP since it is nearly too late to get this January event organized. 2. Februarys pot luck dinner will be held on Saturday the 28th at the usual place. Lets try to get a big turnout with lots of folks, ideas and food! Keep in mind we will be electing new Board Officers so if you arte one and would like to stay on, make it known. I will be stepping down after the usual 3 year term as Governor General, so we will need someone to volunteer or be volunteered (ask Gary about stepping out of the room for a restroom break). If you have had any gripes about any past events or activities, here is your chance to be heard! This is the premier event that the years events are scheduled and voted on.
