His daughter Emily Rooney, local public broadcasting(WGBH) radio and television presenter, was on hand to tell the public about what is now her car, complete with a thick notebook with photostats of all corespondence and invoices since 1966 when Mr.Rooney bought the car new. I'll give you the rundown of the car, as it appeared at the concours. Some of this information is already in BON. B382001507LRXFE JAL661510 Paint code 86 Forest Green Engine # 6817 B19KC Finned Tiger aluminum rocker covers Stock air filter housing Chromed alternator with integral voltage regulator Blue 289 with Ford four barrel intake manifold and Holley carb Nardi wood steering wheel Holes for ammeter and clock blanked off as stock Vinyl glove box door Selling dealer - Felix F. Callari Inc. dba Continental Motors, Stamford, Connecticut Silver Minilites with four P195/60/14 Kumho Solus KR21 tires Directional switch located to the right of steering column The car was recently returned after being restored (Whitehall, Hopkinton,MA), apparently away for more than two years. Unfortunately, Mr. Rooney passed away before the car was completed. The restoration was going to be a gift from his daughter Emily. In one of his books he told the story of how he earned the money to buy the Tiger and what it meant to him. Do you have any photos of his car at the show?
