For a photo of the Harrington demo/auto show car, look for the book Alpine - The Classic Sunbeam by Chris McGovern. For a photo of the Harrington LeMans ordered by Prince William of Gloucester, go to the book Sunbeam Alpine and Tiger - The Complete Story by Graham Robson. My understanding is that these two Harrington LeMans examples were the only two to be fitted with the eggcrate grille option originally, even though as Michael wrote, anyone ordering a LeMans could have gotten this grille. Also, as IIRC Mark Laifman wrote, a type of eggcrate grille was standard on the leaf spring Cobra (AC/Shelby Cobra 289) throughout production. Do you have any idea, where I could buy a new one? If not, what you need is a stabilized ten volt unit and that means a device which, regardless of input, puts out an even ten volt output. Curt Meinel will be able to tell you more, unless, after thirty years, he bounces the issue back to me. Marc msmall at aya.yale.edu Cha robh b`s fir gun ghr`s fir! Tiger poster 'Jan' told me about this site, and that the number of Harrington Alpines originally fitted with eggcrate grilles could be greater than the two cars that I read about in the Chris McGovern Alpine book. Message-ID: <20120409010338.10A4C2E05F@bradakis.com> and sometimes it doesn't. It is a beautiful Easter here in Salt Lake City, wonderful spring weather. I had big plans to get lots done in the yard and in the garage this weekend. But no, I'm sitting here at the keyboard, have been inside all weekend with a cold. So my weekend plans didn't work out. But one plan has worked out, and for over 20 years. Yep, in April of 1991 Team.Net became a registered domain, and the lists and FTP service and web pages moved from various machines at the U of U where I worked at the time to a dedicated machine. One aspect of that is that keeping it running takes money out of my pocket. Not that much, though I keep thinking on checking just what size bite of my power bill the Team.Net hardware does take. Speaking of hardware, you are no doubt aware that Team.Net is running on a nice new, well, new to me, server that was purchased with user contributions last spring. And no doubt you've noticed the transition has had some issues, like with the archives and the forums. I am working on smoothing out the remaining wrinkles to keep it all flowing smoothly. What you can do to keep it running smoothly is make a contribution to the cause. Information regarding how to do so can be found at http://www.team.net/donate.html Some of you have donated recently, especially during the 'Find Mark a job' thread on the Healey list. In case you are wondering I no longer am a parts delivery guy but wrenching on cars again at Bailey's Service here in Utah. Spending $500 - $600 or so a month on gas and oil is something I won't miss about the old job! If you feel like Team.Net offers you something worth supporting, I would appreciate a contribution. If you'd rather not, don't worry about it. Thanks, mjb. I have a SV, rewired with no problems. My turn signals work fine. However, when I put my lights on, I have two problems: 1. My left tail light is much brighter than my right (or my right is much dimmer than my left), and.. 2. My left turn signal does not work with the tail light on. I swapped out the two bulbs and had the same problem, so unfortunately the bulb is not the culprit. Assuming grounding problems, I grounded the left tail light assembly best I could, with no positive result. If the problem is in the actual bulb receptacle part of the assembly, obviously this did no good. My next step will be to change swap the two tail light assemblies. However, prior to doing that, any thoughts? You running light 'wire' is connected to your brake light filament.
