Subject: [Alpines] Anti-Squeal springs

Hi everybody,
I'm rebuilding the brakes on my S1 Alpine and noticed that one caliper is
missing the anti-squeal springs that ride against the disc pad. Does anyone
have a set laying around that willing to sell them to me?

Hi folks,
I have asked this a couple of times and got even an answer, but I ask f
there is something I can't take into my calculations. So is gearbox with
overdrive 80 mm ( or 76.2 mm, 3") longer than box without OD?

I give soon orders to cut or make a new propeller shaft so I want to be
sure for proper dimensions.
New box is from later Humber, so I take bellhousing and primary shaft
from my old box (from a Superminx of late 60's).

Thank you, and in case you know how to build or find a relay for
overdrive I read all possible solutions you have heard of. There should
be OD:s from Ford Transits and Volvos, but I have not found them yet.

There is a Tiger being auctioned on the Alpine section of ebay. its listed as a 1950 to a 63 I think- no title and in NY. Ive bid on it but I will be outbid- I called and was told someone was offering 4k but she  (lsited under a females name) is required by ebay and prolly law to see auction to an end- I know, they kept my listing cost becuse I said I maintained the right to end an auction early because I have my wheels advertized locally- so they pulled the auction and informed me once its up, im required to sell to highest bidder if it meets reserve. They pulled the auction. Strange, told me I couldnt reserve the right to end
an auction that after I posted the item I had to sell to highest bidder BUT
the people told me over the phone the car sold for 4k- I guess just so epay
gets to keep their fees- its OK. I hate epay. They need some compitition and
bad. Then maybe they wouldnt charge so much for so little.

I was bidding on it and spoke to the seller yesterday.

Said they had accepted an offer.

they didn't know it was a Tiger when I told them so I suspect someone 
may have snatched it.
