[Alpines] electric fuel pump

You don't want to have the fuelpump in the enginebay because to electrical
fuelpump is gravity fed!! So you'd like to install it at the lowest point as
close as possible to the tanks. And don't forget to put a fuel filter
inbetween the tanks and the pump!

I installed one on my SII two years ago and didn't have any problems at all.
I left the original mechanical fuelpump in, just for the look! And in case
of electrical fuelpump failure I always can reconnect the mechanical one.

Hello all



I am considering changing to an electric fuel pump on my SV.  Ideally I
would like to locate it where the mechanical pump currently is, blanking off
the existing hole to insure it is oil tight, and using that blanking plate
to mount the new pump.  A friend noted most electric fuel pumps like to be
back closer to the fuel tanks.  Has anyone done this successfully?  Any
thoughts?  I run the single Weber conversion rather than the two Stroms.
