No problem if it is a stick.  You only have to drop the driveshaft for
an automatic.

I am considering getting a "tow dolly" to tow an early (Series I)
Alpine.
The
rear wheels will be on the road.  I intend to tow it for about 250 miles
and
will keep the speed under 60 MPH.  Do I need to disconnect the
driveshaft?
