Paul:

Though it may be out of date, Jay's post may give you some sources.

I've finally broken down and decided to spend the money and get my speedo
regeared and recalibrated. I know of three shops, Nisonger in New York,
Mo-Ma in New Mexico, and West Valley Instrument Specialists here in Los
Angeles. I've spoken to the woman at Mo-Ma and she seems very knowledgable
and said she has the parts necessary to change my speedo from a 1020
rev/mile to a 1440 rev/mile (needed for an Alpine with OD tranny, 3:89 rear
end and 165x13 tires - though I'm still going to get the exact spins).
I've also spoken to the guy at West Valley, Morris, who also seemed
knowledgable, but much less than friendly, and he would not commit to
having what was necessary to gear the speedo right. On the plus side, he
is a 10 minute drive from here. They both want about $100.

I know that Sunbeam Specialities switched between Nisonger and Mo-Ma, but I
don't know which one is the favored one now.

Anyone have any bad or good experiences with any of them?

Thanks,

Jay
