<div style="color:black;font: 10pt Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Bob,

<div>I experienced the back-up light issue (they didn't work) when I bought the car 22 years ago. It needed a clutch, and once I had everything ready to button up after reassembly, I noticed there were two green pigtails in the harness, but discovered only one operated the back-up lights. Someone previous to me chose the wrong one. I simply switched the bullet connector from one pigtail to the other and back-up lights worked. I don't remember a red thread, but I do remember a "dummy" pigtail, or at least the one that didn't juice the back-up lights. I'm fairly certain that the harness is original (1975) to the car, not sure what's the function of alternate pigtail. It's an overdrive car, but it works fine.</div>

<div>Hope this helps.</div>

Subject: [6pack] Two Issues<br>
<br>
<div id="yiv8042094960">Hello All,
<div><br>
</div>
<div>As you may know from my earlier post, by TR6 is alive and running beautifully following an extensive engine rebuild that ended up taking a few years, rather than the few months I had envisioned. Life and other important things interfered. Imagine that…</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I’m now finishing up the final details and have encountered two issues, probably unrelated, that I need your help in diagnosing. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>First: Only my left turn signal works and the hazard light doesn’t work at all. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Second: The back-up lights don’t work. I’ve installed a new back up light harness. I’ve tried to study the wiring diagram but can’t quite figure out how the 3 wires connect to the main harness’ 3 bullet connectors in the passenger foot well area. I can see that two of the new harness wires are solid green and the other has a ?red? thread. The main harness wires are almost impossible to discern which are solid and which has a different color thread.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Can anyone help me sort out these issues?</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Thanks.</div>
