That was Newman Haas Racing, not Group 44. Rumor has it that he purchased the car from Group 44 car as they had moved on to Jaguars I think. He had film footage of a race where he was leading a race with a factory Porsche 924 hot on his tail. One lap to go and Dennis lost a section of tire tread and the Porsche slipped by. The commentary was hilarious. The play-by-play guys were incredulous that this <i>dowager </i>TR6, a car designed in the 50's, was beating Porsche's latest offering.
