You're making to much of the reinstall. Leave the transmission installed
and attached at the rear mount and driveshaft.
As long as you install the flywheel, clutch disc and pressure plate with a
pilot to line up the disc you are in good shape.
You can maneuver the engine around as long as you have a chain fall or
engine lift to slide the engine into the transmission.
I have done many of these and its alot easier than pulling the whole
assembly including the transmission.
It's especially hard if your transmission has a laycock overdrive which
adds weight.
