Hi Frank,
	When I rebuilt my TR6 engine I did the same thing right down to the EZ lift.  It is very difficult, in my experience, to get the car high enough to get the angle  needed to remove/replace the engine with the trans attached. It is much easier in a home garage to reattach the transmission to the engine after the engine is installed. I reinstalled the manifolds, carbs and fan after the engine was back in the car.
