My first sports car was a ‘73 Datsun 240Z that I bought in 1975, a couple
years after graduating college. I lived in San Francisco and wanted a car
that was cool and reliable. What I really wanted was a TR6 or TR250 -
common sites in the City - but reliability drove the decision. I later also
had a 1985 Nissan 300Z 2+2, both this one and the 240 were great cars; fun
to drive and very reliable.

Finally, when our mini-van phase of life collided with my mid-life crisis,
I bought a white 1975 TR6. I’ve owned this car for almost 23 years and have
rebuilt/restored every part of it. I love this car. I also have a ‘68
Camaro and a 2003 Corvette, but I seem to drive the TR the most. There’s
just something about driving a (comparatively) slow car fast. Here’s a
picture.
