Don’t be concerned about the lack of oil leaks.  Properly buttoned up, with a few extras to stave off the weak spots, and you should be fine.

A number of years ago my engine was rebuilt by an excellent craftsman.  I put several hundred miles on it in the next couple of weeks and the oil still looked like honey after that.

Thanks Tim. Put 50 more miles on it yesterday (top down and 40°) and I’m very pleased that it runs better than ever. Having cam bearings installed made a tremendous difference in oil pressure-the lack of which prompted the engine rebuild. I’m concerned, however, that there are no leaks anywhere, which doesn’t seem normal.

Coventry Motor Works - Easton MD. Sandy Thompson and his sons own and operate a first class, full service British car restoration company. They rebuilt my stock transmission and it’s perfect.

Ken Dolhonde rebuilt my Stromberg carbs; great service and, obviously, great work given how well the car runs.

Jeff Schlemmer at Advance Distributor rebuilt my distributor and was always available to answer questions before and after the sale.

Richard, owner of Goodparts, provided hours of phone help and advice. I purchased several parts from him, most notably, the street cam he recommended, which turned out to be a great choice for me.
