 I've always done it that way and it seems to me that trying to line up the holes and inserting the bolts into the block would be more difficult than the other way.
And when you install the mounts make sure the slots are horizontal.  Much easier.

I’m planning ahead, and It’s been too many years since I did it last, so here’s my question:
Is it best to install the engine with the brackets and motor mounts attached to the block, and then line up the mounts to the frame?
Couldn’t find much help in Bentleys.
