I have a set of NOS wheels, tires, trim Rings and Lug nuts I was able to put
together years ago for a car I was restoring. The lug nuts are not all NOS.
I was only able to get 6 NOS ones even back then. They are included as well
as a full set of repro ones. Much of this was sent in from England back when
some people could still chase it down.

 There is a guy in the St. Louis region, Dennis Wilson (no, not the Beach Boy) who raced a TR6 in the late 70's at a time the factory was running a TR7 (TR6 was out of production at this time).? He had film footage of a race where he was leading a race with a factory Porsche 924 hot on his tail.? One lap to go and Dennis lost a section of tire tread and the Porsche slipped by.? The commentary was hilarious.? The play-by-play guys were incredulous that this dowager TR6, a car designed in the 50's, was beating Porsche's latest offering.? And he would have had the tire held together. 

Also, all the while the factory TR7 was a close third.

I checked You Tube but I could not find that film posted.? But if you look up Wilson Motors, that's the guy.
Didn't Paul Newman race a TR6 at one point?? Group 44?

Best I can tell, Paul Newman won the 1976 SCCA D Production championship in a TR6, beating the factory TR7.  That was Newman Haas Racing, not Group 44.  Rumor has it that he purchased the car from Group 44 car as they had moved on to Jaguars I think.  That?s all I can find.

I question the statement that "LUK stopped making clutches for the TR6 a long time ago". I installed one about 5 years ago and AFIK they are still available. So far no problems, although I did make&install the fork pin similar to the one suggested by Pete Chadwell. Also, I installed a 1/4" cross bolt in the fork, the dowel bolts, and am using a .75" master cyl. with an external spring (which requires free play adjustment 1-2 times annually. Crank thrust washer wear doesn't seem to be a problem.Berry

There is some racing history in "The Triumph TR5/250 and TR6 Companion" book by Steven Rossi and Ian Clarke. It's not as detail as one might like but there are 20 pages with pictures devoted to the subject. It's at least a start.

Just started up my 72 idle since May. Started fine but the ignition 
light flickered after a few minutes and then the ammeter was alternating 
from about 3+ amps to 3- amps along with the flicker. Turned on the head 
lights and no flicker. Drove down to get gas and flicker continued 
unless I put on the brakes.

Just put it in the garage and after starting, the normal +10 or so on 
the ammeter then normal.

Is it time for a new alternator or is rebuildable? Delco I believe.

 A shorted diode in the bridge can cause the ignition light to come on even if the alternator is charging.? The diode assembly is replaceable but requires a pretty good soldering iron.? If you are not comfortable doing that I recommend replacing the alternator.

I have the Bosch 13107 as well.  Plug and play. It?s easier if you get the 5 to 3 plug conversion from Moss for a few $$.

Anyone know a good place to get black replacement bezel rings for the Smiths gauges in my '75 Tr6? ?Also what are the gauge size diameters in millimeters?
