[6pack] Emergency hood latch

The emergency release on my car can be reached from the driver’s seat or from outside the car on the passenger side. It works infinitely easier that the stock one – I am able to open the hood with one finger. The stock pull, now over 43 years old, is stiff and the cable has stretched over time. Why continue to use it until it breaks? Then I’ll HAVE to replace it which I don’t have to do now.

I don’t understand why you don’t use the stock pull, so much easier than bending over and using the “emergency” release.  Yes I have the emergency 🚨 release, still waiting to use it.

Somebody (don’t remember who) did an impromptu tech session on it in the parking lot and when he was done, I asked him if he had any with him.  He said yes and sold me one for $5. I have NEVER used the stock cable since.
