Good discussion. But, you need to go back to why we were/are saddled with the Stromberg. It's a sealed carb, very little (other than psychological) mixture adjustment, 4 readily available metering needles, non-replaceable (other than machining) main jets, heat related float issues, etc.  Compare this to SU's, . Huge selection of metering needles, easily changed jets in 4 different sizes, no heat issues with float bowl (it's on side of carb, not underneath).  So, the question is, 'if you can't tune 2, how do you tune 3? Compression, using forged pistons will allow use of 12 or more. You can also/get to high numbers using cast pistons. You just won't use them for long.  Yes, we do sell SU's, cams, flywheels, etc. Ted
