[6pack] popping/backfire at idle, low speed

many sincere thanks to those that helped me through this.
here's the initial problem:

I was inspired by the lister who suggested that there was unburned fuel in
the exhaust, so I started with the simple stuff. I was planning to swap out
the dizzy, but thought I'd check the plugs first.
these plugs are awful!!! probably due to the previous issue I was having
with the carbs.
