Why don't you just track down a good used tank. If money is the prob, a 
usable used tank should be a crapload less expensive.

Look up Bit of Britain (Mike Buonanduci). He's semi-local to the Boston 
area. Also call the usual supects like TSImportedautomotive.com and 
team-triumph.

Used gas tanks should be fairly easy to source.

On the other hand, you could install a race car fuel cell.
