Brian,

Cant comment on TRF but why don't you give Jeff at Paltech.com a call. He does 
a great job on SUs and Strombergs.

I got a set of Hitachi SUs for my TR6 project and they looked like brand new. 
He even can refurbish your linkage and manifold if you choose.
