I had a value dispute once over a TR3 I had. A minor collision had me in the
ring with my insurance company and they had waaaaay different idea than I
did about the value of the car. I told them what they could price it any way
they liked if they intended to write it off, as long as they could find me
comparable car that I could buy immediately with the money they were
proposing to give me. They changed their tune and we agreed on a number that
was certainly closer to mine. I'd argue that a RHD car is more rare, so
therefore more desirable.
