Vance, I bought my 74.5 new (I think it's 27227CF built Dec. '74) and 
the screws are original.  They are pan head, slotted, bright-plate 
but I wouldn't call it chrome.  Probably plain ol' zinc or 
cad.  Let's just say "unpainted." ;-)
