 Probably not the idea you are looking for but mine broke off right after I bought it.? I have just lived without it since, about 5 years.? Considering the way that the hood/bonnet opens you dont need the catch anyways.

Anyone have an alternative for the wimpy products offered by the Big Three as
substitutes for the Hood (a.k.a. Bonnet) latch assembly?  Reference: TRF
619580 or Moss 802-275.
