Jim,

Do you feel the vibration in the gear shifter? If so, is it very
pronounced or does it feel about like the vibration you are feeling in the
steering wheel?

We're all familiar with the rate of vibration when a wheel is out of balance
at 60 MPH. Does it feel like it is at that rate or much faster? The reason
I ask is if the component causing the vibration is turning at driveshaft
speed, it will be about 3 times faster than wheel speed. This may help you
narrow your search.

Have you checked the diff mounts? A cracked mount can cause some crazy
vibrations.
