[6pack] Crank pulley rubbing on crossmember

Shannon,

I'm confused (this happens often).  The engine, tranny and drive shaft are 
all fixed lengths?  If they are all connected to the diff, how can you move 
it forward or backward?

Confused in Kailua (it may be too many Mai Tais)
