OR invest the money in painting equipment. A new spray and it looks 
perfect ('till it cracks, gets door-dinged,whatever).

I've had 'glass and steel. I like 'glass 'cause it can take some shots. 
Steel is okay except for rust. Plus you can lean on steel (either 
literally or figuratively when you use a buffer).
