[6pack] lucas alternator upgrade

is it possible for an alternator rebuilder to upgrade
the internals of my lucas alternator 10 amps or so? i
think it's 35A stock, thought 45 or 50A would be
comparable to  the other conversions people do. 
i already know about using the delco or the bosch
units but i don't want to deal with all the grinding
and getting a pulley that will fit, etc.
