I have an electric wiper motor in my 50 3600 that I have had for years. =20
It stopped working, so I checked the wiring, and upon deciding to=20
replace it with a new $400 one, I unhooked the linkage from the pins. =20
When I did this, the motor suddenly started working again without the=20
wipers hooked up. So I put the linkage back on the pins and turned it=20
on. Nothing. I seem to recall many years ago when I first installed=20
it, there was a little band that hooked onto two pins, where the linkage=20
is attached. Without it, they would not work. Am I imagining things,=20
or is this a component that I need for the wipers to work?

Thanks!

Years ago I had disc brakes installed on my 1950 3600 and have been very=20
happy with them. It now appears that the master cylinder has gone out=20
and I am unable to find one to replace it. The closest I have found is=20
an AC Delco one that is identical, except for the bore for the piston. =20
The one I found has a 1 3/4 inch bore and the original has a 1 1/4 inch=20
bore, so it will not bolt up to the power booster. I'm thinking maybe I=20
can change the power booster to one that has a 1 1/4 inch bore. Has=20
anyone else had an experience like this? Bill Hanlon?

Thanks!
