Hello All,
My father, Jack Sutherland, was a long time member of the WPTA, and those w=
ho remember him may be aware that in his younger days used to race a TR3 in=
SCCA competitions in Connecticut and Southern California in the 60's (I st=
ill have his competition license signed by Kas Kastner!).=C2=A0=20
You haven't seen him in several years as in his advanced age (he's 91)=C2=
=A0 he's developed a condition known as=C2=A0Progressive supranuclear palsy=
(PSP), a predominant symptom of which is dementia.=C2=A0=20
He's currently in the memory care unit at Friendship Village, which is on B=
oyce road in Upper St. Clair.=C2=A0 And while he's lost quite a bit of his =
memory, he still loves Triumphs and gets a real kick out of seeing his TR3 =
when I drive it over for a visit.=C2=A0=C2=A0
I'm reaching out (on his email account) to let folks know that Friendship V=
illage, where he lives now, is having its 1st Annual Charity Car Cruise on =
Saturday, September 19th at 10:00AM.=C2=A0 So if anyone is looking for a re=
ason to get their Triumph out that weekend for a drive, I hope you keep thi=
s in mind as I know he'd be delighted to see some British iron.=C2=A0
