Right.

<< After bringing the car home, I found that there was no VIN tag on the

'63. I then
checked the engine number and found that to be CT58007E. That would be from a
'65 TR4A but it has SU carbs, not Strombergs. I then found the number 301603 on
the diff. I have no idea what means. >>

The 301603 is only a part number, I think.

<< My question is, is there any other place on the car that I can find the VIN?

No.

<< If not, would I be correct in assuming that my VIN would be STC 63 24422 L ?

No. Often the body and commission numbers run fairly close (within hundreds or
sometimes thousands), but they are not the same. Your commission number is more
likely to be something like CT 23456 L, but you'll only be able to confirm
whatever it is a: if the title does have the original commission number and it
seems reasonably close to that "24422CT" body number, or b: you have a
production record trace done based on the body number (which BMIHT will do if
you ask nicely :-) ).

<< Other clues as to what I have, the hand brake and seats are TR4 but it has a
wood dash. >>

Further evidence of it likely being a TR4.

<< There are three taillight lenses. Two have 61 on them and one has 66. >>

I believe there are 'early' and 'later' versions of the TR4 taillamp lens;
likely the '61' version is correct.
