What actually happened is that not only did they not maintain pace car speed, thay accelerated and passed the pace car in pit lane before the crest of the hill. On the tapes, ou can hear some of the cars upshifted twice before the crest of the hill. some some of the cars arrived at the accident probably going at least 100 mph. racerjoe |
