I think they have those from the Middle West eastward. I was privileged to
attend vintage event at Mt Tremblant in 2004 and I never saw the starter
wave a green flag. He kept it hidden behind a yellow from the point of
viewpoint of someone down on the pavement. With a front engined F Junior I
was on the last row of the grid and the indication that the race had started
was the noise of throttles opening and exhausts blaring. It was pretty
clear that a race had started and I should attempt to get with the program
before the lead FB car lapped me. Never did see a green. Another Left
Coast Canadian was in the second or third row of another grid; he didn't
see a green flag to start his races that weekend either.
