Hi Group,
One of the advantages of being on the far side of fifty is that the
phrase, "Discretion is the better part of valor" means so much more. After
rereading the replies to my earlier email and thinking about just how long and
how
much effort was involved in getting ONE tire 3/4 of the way off the split rim
wheel, I decided that Van Kleek's tire in Kingston, NY, really deserved my
patronage. Thus, tomorrow bright and early, they will find me at their door
with
both old rims, tires, and the new tubes and tires to be professionally
mounted. 'Tis another of those "too soon old and too late smart" situations
that I
don't need to suffer through.
Please wish my tire changers good luck...I hope to be backon the road by
dark tomorrow.
C & HM,
     Jim

PS The rear gets changed next week...plenty of tread, but I like to keep
all three the same (And there's not room in the garage to do three at once!!).
